Am I eligible for temporary car insurance?
Like traditional annual cover, there are some requirements for using temporary car insurance. For example, to use Cuvva for the first time on a full driving licence, you'll usually need to be over 19 and under 70. If you're a learner, you'll usually need to be aged between 17 and 50. The good thing is that Cuvva provides instant online quotes, so you can see if you can buy a policy instantly.

The average Cuvva driver spends £43.97 for a week of car insurance. The final quote will depend on some factors like your age, driving experience, and the car you want to borrow.
Can I just use temporary car insurance to insure my car?
Cars always need to have an underlying policy. You can't insure a car when you want to drive it and then leave it uninsured while it's parked up, for example. If you've just bought a new car, or you're in-between policies, you can use temporary car insurance to tide you over until your new annual policy begins. But you can't ever leave your car uninsured, unless you've SORNED it.
